FALL/winter Indoor picKLEBALL program
30The Bath Pickleball Club in conjunction with Loyalist Township runs the fall and winter indoor pickleball sessions at two elementary schools.
We welcome all new inexperienced participants (referred to as "newbies") and returning participants. There are two sessions. Session 1 runs from October 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020. Session 2 runs from February 1, 2020 to May 25, 2020.
Players wishing to play in the fall and/or winter sessions at the elementary schools are required to register with Loyalist Township. The registration fee per session is $10 paid to Loyalist Township to cover insurance costs. In addition each player is required to pay a $5 equipment fee per session. The $5.00 fee may be paid either on the opening night of each session to a representative of the Bath Pickleball Club or by e-transfer to Nalini Warriar (nwarriar@yahoo.com). To be clear, the cost is $15 per session. We encourage all new participants to also purchase a name tag for $8. Exact change only please.
The weekly schedule at Bath Public School starting Tuesday October 1, 2019 is as follows:
Mondays 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm
Tuesdays 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm
Wednesdays 6:15 pm - 9:00 pm
Fridays 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm
The schedule at Amherstview Public School (70 Fairfield Blvd., Amherstview) starting Tuesday October 1 is as follows:
Tuesdays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Wednesdays 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm note: two courts for higher level play and only one court for recreational play
Fun tournament will be held on Tuesday/Wednesday March 24/25. More info to come!
Last day for all indoor pickleball is Friday May 25, 2020.
Footwear
In order to protect the gymnasium floors, all players must have "clean" (non-outdoor use) court type athletic footwear.
Loaner Paddles
A limited number of "loaner" paddles will be available for first time participants . To be clear, all participants must register with the Township before being allowed to play. After two introductory training sessions, players must purchase their own paddles.
School Closures : cancellation of play
You will be notified by Bath Pickleball Club regarding PA days.
You will be notified by Loyalist Township by email if the schools are closed due to inclement weather.
There is no play on school holidays.
